The Visual Arts Showcase panel was comprised of local visual arts experts. The panelists assessed student artwork according to the rubric below. Thank you, panelists, for making the 2018 Visual Arts Showcase a success!

Tara de la Garza is an Irish/Australian artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally with the The Lodge Gallery NYC, San Diego Art Institute, No Longer Empty, Chashama, Figment, MassMOCA and Aggregate Space Gallery. Tara studied a Fine Art at Curtin University, Australia. She also runs a contemporary art space called The Frank. See Tara’s work here.

Hazel Keelan is a visual artist and musician who holds a Higher National Diploma in Fine Art in the Community and a Foundation in Fine Art and Design from the United Kingdom. Hazel has also studied the use of art in therapy and education. Her latest venture, Sight and Sound, incorporates digital art, hi-tech and audience participation. Hazel serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Art League.

As a child, Caroline Mustard was isolated from other children due to childhood TB and spent her days alone drawing and painting. She graduated from the Brighton College of Art with a degree in Fine Art (Painting). Caroline teaches at Pacific Art League and is the Co-Founder of Mobile Art Academy and the Mobile Digital Art & Creativity (mDAC) Summit, an international exhibition of digital art on mobile devices.

Rose Offner is an artist and writer who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from San Francisco State University. Rose has authored several books including a novel and several Journal To The Soul books, which encourage readers to become the writers of their own personal stories by combining art and storytelling.
