PURPOSE: To provide enrichment activities to students during lunch.
DESCRIPTION: These monthly, lunchtime clubs offer students a wide variety of activities such as yoga, book clubs, and physics. Students can learn more and sign up for clubs at the annual Leopard’s Faire during lunch.
Check back for the 2018-2019 Leopard’s Faire dates! Students who miss the Faire can still participate by contacting the Committee Chair below.
Each year, the committee chair review program offerings based upon volunteer availability. Possibilities include:
- Art Club
- Book Clubs by grade level
- Physics Club
- Yoga & Meditation
- GeoBee Club
- Financial Wizardry Club
- Minecraft Club
- Chess Club
- Community Service (for 4th and 5th graders)
- and more!
VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES: Volunteers commit between one and eight hours per month. Some clubs are defined and designed by the parent volunteer with the help of student participants. We are always open to new ideas! Past parent-created clubs include Medicine, Historical Weapons and Wars, Science, Spy Technology, Knitting, and International Cultures.
Volunteers work with the Assistant Principal and the Lunchtime Enrichment Committee Chair to schedule monthly meetings, reserve space and submit announcements to the Leopard’s Spot and KPAW, La Entrada’s weekly student broadcast.
CONTACT: email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: Parents who regularly volunteer at school may be required to undergo fingerprinting and a TB risk assessment (if not done within the past 3 years). The Chairperson will provide additional information to volunteers at the beginning of the school year.
