PURPOSE: To provide a festive craft event to celebrate the season of giving.

DESCRIPTION: The Winter Faire is a hands-on craft faire in which all students participate to create gifts for family and friends in December.  All La Entrada students participate in this traditional craft-making event.  Many children consider it to be “the most fun day of school.” Prep days are held throughout the fall. A tradition has been for a Service Project to be included each year.  This year, there will be a  festive celebration of cultures around the world!

Mark your calendar and sign up to volunteer for the 2017-2018 Winter Faire – Friday December 8, 2017.

VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES:  Volunteers are needed to lead craft projects, assist Table Leads, and just help brainstorm fun projects that our kids will enjoy making at the workshop.

A Winter Faire Planning Meeting will be held in the Fall so if you have a craft that could be used in the Faire, please bring a sample to share. You do not have to have a craft idea to lead a table.  We will provide some of the projects.  No creativity needed, there are many opportunities!

In addition, a Winter Faire Prep Day will be held.

PREP DAY:  Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 8-11am in the MUR
HOLIDAY FAIRE:  Friday, December 8, 2017
