Become a PTA Volunteer

The PTA is a 100% volunteer organization.  Our events and programs rely solely upon parents who can help to organize and execute our events and programs.  Many volunteers find tremendous satisfaction in being able to contribute to the school experience of their children.

In addition to the PTA programs mentioned here, we also recruit for school-sponsored programs such as Picture Day, Ear/Eye Testing, 7th & 8th Grade Dances, Magazine Sale assistance, the Foundation Hoedown, 8th grade programs and Graduation. New volunteer chairs are added as needed.

If you are interested in volunteering for the PTA, you can download a PTA Volunteer Form or contact the PTA Co-Presidents.

EXECUTIVE BOARD
President or Co Presidents – Run the La Entrada PTA.  Requires a three year term.

Vice Presidents or Co-Vice Presidents – Are responsible for numerous executive board duties and are next in line to the Presidency.

Treasurer – Manages the finances of the PTA including income, expenses, taxes, and dues.

Recording Secretary  - Takes minutes of all board meetings and publishes them to the website and to the PTA membership.

Volunteer Coordinator  - Runs the Volunteer Fair the first week of school  to recruit volunteers to all of the committees.  This volunteer is responsible for managing the fair, signing up volunteers and distributing the volunteer lists to the appropriate committee chairs.

Parliamentarians – Former President(s) who attend all executive board meetings.

COMMITTEES
All committees have one or more committee chair people.  These people manage and run their specific program with help from additional volunteers.  Using information from the Volunteer Coordinator, committee heads recruit additional volunteers as needed.
