Hats off to La Entrada Broadcom MASTERS Kira J. and Kate V.!
Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology and Engineering Rising Stars), is the premier science and engineering competition for middle school students. Middle school students across the nation were nominated to apply for the Broadcom MASTERS competition. The nomination is a great honor, as it designates the project as among the top 10% of middle school science fair projects in the US.
Kira’s project was titled “Coquina Clams in the Waves: Size and Surfing?” She is pictured below with her award-winning project!
In addition, Kate V. was selected a Top 300 MASTERS Semi-finalist from more than 6,000 nominees and 2,499 applicants from 49 states. Each application received three independent readings and evaluations by distinguished scientists, engineers and educators.
Kate’s project was titled, “Enhanced Heptyl Butyrate Attractants for Western Yellowjackets (Vespula pensylvanica)”. She is pictured above with her award-winning project!
Congratulations Kira and Kate! You’ve made La Entrada Proud!
